Vishay launches new high-CMTI isolation amplifiers for EV and industrial power applications

June 5, 2025 /SemiMedia/ — Vishay Intertechnology has introduced a new line of high-reliability isolation amplifiers — VIA0050DD, VIA0250DD, and VIA2000SD — targeting precision current and voltage sensing in industrial, energy, and electric vehicle (EV) systems.

The VIA series delivers industry-leading common-mode transient immunity (CMTI) up to 150 kV/μs and offers tight gain accuracy of ±0.05% with low drift of 15 ppm/°C, ensuring long-term calibration-free performance over a -40°C to +125°C range. These amplifiers are ideal for applications with high EMI, such as inverters, motor drives, and UPS systems.

Optimized for compact designs, the VIA0050DD supports differential inputs of ±50 mV and features a minimum CMTI of 100 kV/μs, making it suitable for isolated current sensing in space-constrained power conversion systems. The VIA0250DD, with its wider ±250 mV input range, is suitable for both current and voltage measurements in demanding applications.

For high-speed and high-SNR signal transmission, the VIA2000SD supports linear differential inputs from 0.02 V to 2 V and delivers a 400 kHz bandwidth — ideal for bus voltage monitoring and renewable energy systems.

All three models incorporate reinforced isolation, built-in diagnostics, and common-mode voltage detection to prevent measurement failures. The devices are also compatible with Vishay’s WSBE low TCR, high-power shunt resistors to support high-precision measurement requirements across power electronics platforms.

Samples and volume production are available now, with lead times of 12 to 16 weeks.
