June 12, 2026 /SemiMedia/ — Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. has expanded its ILHB series of automotive-grade multilayer chip ferrite beads, designed for high-current filtering applications. The expanded lineup provides higher current handling, smaller case sizes, and a broader range of impedance values to meet more demanding EMC noise suppression requirements.

The ILHB series is now available in 0402, 0603, 0805, 1008, and 1206 case sizes, supporting currents up to 6 A and impedance values from 10 Ω to 2700 Ω. The expanded devices can deliver two to three times the current handling for the same package size and impedance value, enabling designers to meet high-current requirements in more compact PCB layouts.

The devices are suited for a wide range of EMC filtering applications, including automotive energy distribution and management systems, industrial automation, home and building controls, computers and peripherals, consumer electronics, white goods, medical instrumentation, avionics, and telecom infrastructure.

Datasheets have been enhanced to include additional design parameters, allowing engineers to estimate performance across a wider frequency range without consulting multiple graphs. Parameters include impedance peak value and frequency, the frequency at which impedance drops below nominal, and the X- and R-frequency crossover points.

The ILHB series is AEC-Q200 qualified and features a silver (Ag) inner conductor with copper (Cu), nickel (Ni), and tin (Sn) plating. Devices operate from -55°C to +125°C, are RoHS-compliant, halogen-free, and Vishay Green certified.
