October 20, 2025 /SemiMedia/ — Vishay Intertechnology has introduced the DLA 04051 series of vPolyTan™ polymer surface-mount capacitors, designed to meet the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency’s (DLA) latest 04051 military specifications. The new series targets high-reliability applications across aerospace, military, and space (AMS) systems.

Featuring ultra-low ESR levels down to 25 mΩ, the capacitors deliver superior performance over conventional tantalum capacitors. They cover a capacitance range of 4.7 μF to 680 μF and voltage ratings from 2.5 V to 63 V, making them ideal for energy storage, power regulation, radar, and communication equipment in critical AMS environments.

The DLA 04051 series is tested for long-term reliability, undergoing 2000-hour endurance testing at 125°C. It also meets rigorous mechanical standards, including 500g shock resistance, vibration endurance per MIL-STD-202-204 Level D, and 10 thermal shock cycles as defined in MIL-STD-202-107.

Serving as a direct alternative to Yageo/Kemet equivalents, Vishay’s new series offers a dependable second source for mission-critical defense and aerospace applications. Samples and production units are now available, with standard lead times of 35 weeks.
