September 21, 2026 / SemiMedia / — TDK has expanded its B43645, B43657, B43658, B43659, B43660 and B43661 series of ultra-compact snap-in aluminum electrolytic capacitors, increasing rated DC voltage to 500V for AI server power supply units and high-performance switch-mode power supplies.
The capacitors are available in diameters from 22 mm to 35 mm and lengths from 25 mm to 100 mm, combining higher voltage capability with a compact footprint. TDK said the design helps power supply manufacturers increase power density while maintaining the electrical and thermal performance required for continuous high-load operation in AI data centers.
As power consumption from GPUs and AI accelerators continues to increase, server PSUs are required to deliver more power within limited physical space while maintaining high efficiency and reliability. The extended-voltage series is designed to address these requirements in next-generation server power architectures.
The six series cover capacitance values from 80 µF to 2060 µF and support ripple currents of up to 5.39 A. Service life reaches up to 5,000 hours at +105°C.
The capacitors use an aluminum-can construction with a PET sleeve, snap-in pins and integrated pressure relief. Standard versions feature two terminals, while three-terminal configurations are also available to help ensure correct insertion.
In addition to AI server PSUs, target applications include high-performance SMPS, uninterruptible power supplies and solar inverters.
All devices are RoHS-compliant and have been vibration tested in accordance with IEC 60068-2-6.
