June 22, 2026 /SemiMedia/ — Supply chain sources said Realtek and MediaTek are adjusting prices for selected mature-node semiconductor products, reflecting rising costs from wafer foundries, packaging and testing services, and key materials.
The reported price adjustments cover networking, connectivity, consumer electronics and certain special-purpose chips. Industry sources said the increases are not broad-based, but are focused on product lines where supply is relatively tight, inventory levels are low or specifications are being upgraded.
Realtek is reportedly set to raise prices on certain product lines by more than 10% starting in July. The company is benefiting from improving demand for WiFi, Ethernet and switch products, while AI PCs, enterprise networking equipment and high-speed connectivity applications are driving specification upgrades.
MediaTek is also expected to adjust prices for flagship chips scheduled for launch in the second half of the year. Market sources said the company’s smartphone platforms, connectivity chips and smart device products are benefiting from new model preparation and demand recovery in emerging markets.
Industry analysts said mature-node chip pricing is being affected by multiple factors. AI-related advanced-node demand continues to tighten parts of the foundry and packaging supply chain, while some mature-node applications are seeing lower inventory levels and more stable demand.
The reported adjustments by Realtek and MediaTek suggest that the semiconductor recovery is not limited to AI accelerators and high-end memory products. As PC, networking, consumer electronics and smartphone supply chains rebuild inventories, pricing pressure for some mature-node chips is beginning to move downstream.
