June 9, 2026 /SemiMedia/ — Nexperia B.V. announced a strategic partnership with U.S.-based wafer foundry Polar Semiconductor to manufacture next-generation power MOSFET devices, aiming to expand its product portfolio and secure stable supply for customers worldwide.

The collaboration combines Polar’s experience in power semiconductor manufacturing and capacity expansion with Nexperia’s leading MOSFET technology to address growing demand across AI server infrastructure, robotics, industrial and automotive applications.

Fredrik Öberg, General Manager Business Group MOS at Nexperia, said: “Investing in future technologies and expanding our power MOSFET portfolio are central to Nexperia’s strategy. We are pleased to partner with Polar Semiconductor, a company that shares our commitment to zero-defect manufacturing and advanced power-device production.”

Polar Semiconductor operates a high-volume wafer manufacturing facility in Minnesota with over six decades of semiconductor production experience and more than 25 years in automotive manufacturing, certified to IATF 16949 standards. Nexperia will develop a broad portfolio of next-generation MOSFETs across multiple voltage ratings and package types at this facility.

Stefan Tilger, interim CEO at Nexperia, added: “This collaboration is an important step in strengthening Nexperia’s long-term manufacturing and supply-chain strategy. Working closely with Polar ensures reliable capacity and provides a strong, resilient supply foundation to support future growth.”
