June 24, 2026 /SemiMedia/ — Diodes Incorporated has expanded its load switch portfolio with the DML1012ALDSQ, an automotive-compliant N-channel MOSFET smart load switch designed for power sequencing and power rail control in vehicle electronics.

The device targets automotive applications including advanced driver-assistance systems, infotainment platforms and display clusters, where reliable power distribution and controlled power sequencing are required.

The DML1012ALDSQ supports an input voltage range from 0.8V to 4V, allowing it to be used across multiple subsystem power rail domains. Its maximum drain-source on-resistance of 8mΩ helps reduce on-state losses and heat generation.

With junction-to-case thermal resistance of 8°C/W, the device supports up to 6A of continuous output current. A low quiescent current also improves efficiency during power gating and helps reduce standby power consumption.

The smart load switch includes an enable control pin for precise microcontroller-driven power sequencing. This allows system designers to manage startup and shutdown timing across multiple automotive electronic subsystems.

The device also integrates protection and control features that can reduce PCB area and shorten development time compared with discrete solutions. Output voltage slew-rate control helps minimize inrush current during startup, supporting system stability.

Integrated quick output discharge ensures downstream components are fully discharged during shutdown. Undervoltage lockout disables system operation when the supply voltage drops below a safe threshold, helping maintain predictable behavior under unstable supply conditions.

The DML1012ALDSQ is offered in a V-DFN3030-8 Type R package measuring 3mm × 3mm and is priced from $0.17 in 1,000-piece quantities. Diodes also offers the DML1012ALDS standard-compliance version for industrial and commercial applications.
