March 5, 2026 /SemiMedia/ — Broadcom said its artificial intelligence chip business could generate more than $100 billion in annual revenue by 2027, according to comments from CEO Hock Tan during a call with analysts.

Tan said the company is confident it can reach the milestone and added that the necessary supply chain capacity is already in place.

Broadcom expects about $10.7 billion in AI-related revenue this quarter. The company had earlier projected that its AI chip sales could reach around $20 billion by 2025.

The chipmaker also issued a stronger outlook and announced a share buyback program of up to $10 billion. Revenue for the fiscal second quarter ending May 3 is expected to be about $22 billion, above analysts’ average forecast of roughly $20.5 billion.

For the first fiscal quarter ended Feb. 1, Broadcom reported revenue of $19.3 billion and adjusted earnings of $2.05 per share. AI-related revenue more than doubled year on year to $8.4 billion.
