Yageo announces price increase for resistor products

January 21, 2026

January 21, 2026 /SemiMedia/ — Passive component maker Yageo said it will raise prices for some resistor products by 15% to 20%, with the adjustment taking effect from Feb. 1, according to local media reports.

The company said the move is mainly driven by higher costs in its chip-based product lines, as prices of precious metals such as silver, ruthenium and palladium have risen sharply, adding pressure to manufacturing costs.

The price increase will apply to several widely used resistor sizes, including RC0402, RC0603, RC0805 and RC1206. Yageo said existing contract orders will continue to be supplied under current pricing terms, in line with prior agreements.

Yageo said it remains focused on maintaining reliable supply and consistent product quality, while managing cost pressures across the passive component supply chain.
