October 21, 2024 /SemiMedia/ — Marvell has issued notifications to clients indicating that it will increase prices across its entire product line effective January 1, citing the surge in demand for AI. The company plans to continue investing in cutting-edge and innovative product development, reflecting the market’s growing appetite for advanced semiconductor solutions.

The announcement was made in a letter signed by Marvell's Senior Vice President of Global Sales, Dean Jarnac, who explained that the entire semiconductor supply chain is making unprecedented investments to expand production capabilities, driven by the global demand for accelerated computing and AI. Marvell aims to sustain its innovation and investment to provide customers with leading-edge products and technologies.

Jarnac stated that while prices will increase, Marvell will minimize the extent of the price hikes to reduce the impact on customers. He also urged clients to place orders according to lead times and provide accurate demand forecasts.
