DB HiTek Raises Foundry Prices Twice in 2026

September 30, 2026 / SemiMedia / — South Korean foundry DB HiTek has raised semiconductor manufacturing prices twice this year, implementing adjustments in March and September ranging from about 5% to 30%. Chinese customers have faced the largest increases, at approximately 20% to 30%, as orders and demand for additional capacity continue to grow.

China accounted for roughly 60% of DB HiTek's revenue in the first half of 2026, making it the company's largest regional market. South Korea represented about 12%, roughly equal to the combined contribution from the United States and Europe. Price increases for Korean customers were generally limited to around 10%, while some customers saw no change.

DB HiTek is applying different pricing adjustments depending on customer performance, order growth and capacity requirements rather than using a uniform increase across its customer base. Stronger revenue and profitability among some Chinese customers, together with requests for additional production capacity, contributed to the larger increases in that market.

Tighter conditions in the 200mm foundry market are also improving pricing power. New 8-inch capacity remains relatively limited as major semiconductor manufacturers prioritize 300mm production, while demand from power management, power semiconductors, AI data centers and robotics is supporting mature-node utilization.

DB GlobalChip, a DB HiTek subsidiary, is also raising foundry prices as its customer base and business performance improve. The company received approximately KRW59.8 billion in foundry orders during the first half of 2026, equivalent to about 66.7% of its KRW89.6 billion in orders for all of 2025.

Further pricing adjustments remain possible. DB HiTek management has reportedly instructed employees to review additional increases, although the final scale has not been determined. The company typically gives customers about three months' notice, meaning any new increases could begin contributing to revenue in the fourth quarter of 2026 or early 2027.
