According to reports, Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. announced yesterday that an employee of its MLCC production facility in Izumo City, Shimane Prefecture was diagnosed with COVID-19. For safety reasons, the production facility will stop operating for 3 days starting yesterday.

This is Murata's second MLCC production facility in Japan closed due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The last time was the production facility in Fukui Prefecture reported on April 6. Japanese media pointed out that the factory closed this time mainly produces MLCCs for automobiles and mobile devices.
