According to reports, u-blox said in a recent statement that it has hired Markus Schaefer as its new executive director of global marketing and sales.
Schaefer studied electrical engineering at the RWTH Aachen University in Germany and received an MBA from Tiffin University in the United States. He is a veteran of the semiconductor industry and has led international sales teams in semiconductor companies such as Infineon, NXP and MACOM, and has a proven track record in the semiconductor industry.
According to the u-blox statement, Markus Schaefer will define and implement the company's sales and marketing strategy in sales regions in the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Africa, and Asia Pacific. In addition to managing the company's business expansion, he will also be responsible for increasing sales channels and u-blox's product marketing strategy.
