PCB prices rise on supply disruptions and AI demand

April 29, 2026 /SemiMedia/ — According to supply chain, PCB prices are moving higher as supply of key materials tightens and demand from AI servers stays strong.

Industry sources said supply of high-purity PPE resin was disrupted after an attack on petrochemical facilities in Saudi Arabia earlier this month. Saudi Basic Industries Corporation, a major supplier, has not fully restored output, while shipping delays in the Gulf have added pressure.

At the same time, demand has been picking up. Since March, manufacturers have been buying more to secure supply, and some estimates show PCB prices rose sharply in April.

Other materials are also getting more expensive. Copper foil prices are up about 30% this year, and copper makes up a large part of PCB costs.

Daeduck Electronics said it has started discussing price increases with customers including Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix and Advanced Micro Devices, as lead times for some materials have stretched from weeks to months.

The combination of tighter supply and steady demand is likely to keep PCB prices elevated in the near term.
