March 6, 2026 /SemiMedia/ — Nexperia China said most of its operations have resumed after employees in the country temporarily lost access to key office systems earlier this week, an incident that briefly disrupted several production processes.

In a notice sent to customers, the company’s China unit said that starting at 19:02 on March 3, its parent company in the Netherlands, Nexperia B.V., disabled office accounts used by employees in China. The move blocked access to several core systems, including Office 365 and SAP, affecting daily operations.

Nexperia China said the system disruption also affected part of the production workflow. In particular, the step that creates production orders in SAP after customer-supplied wafers arrive at the factory was temporarily interrupted.

However, orders that had already been entered into the SAP system and moved into production were not affected, the company said.

Following the incident, IT and operations teams in China activated contingency measures and worked to restore key systems and production scheduling.

According to the notice, most business activities in China have now resumed, allowing the company to maintain basic manufacturing operations while efforts continue to reduce potential impact on future production and deliveries.

Nexperia is a major supplier of discrete devices and power semiconductors, with products widely used in automotive, industrial and consumer electronics. Industry observers said the system issue caused short-term disruption in several processes, though its broader impact on semiconductor supply chains remains unclear.
