Wingtech pushes for resolution as uncertainty grows in Europe’s chip sector
December 10, 2025 /SemiMedia/ — Wingtech Technology has sent a formal letter to Guido Dirick, the Dutch-appointed custodian overseeing Nexperia’s shares, proposing renewed talks to address the ongoing governance dispute. The company said constructive dialogue is essential to restoring lawful control rights and rebuilding a stable governance structure for Nexperia’s long-term operations.
Industry sources said the proposed discussions would center on two points: the restoration of Wingtech’s control and shareholder rights, and the impact of the current governance arrangement on semiconductor supply chain reliability.
Wingtech said it has not yet received a response from Dirick or members of the interim management team designated by the Dutch Enterprise Court.
Governance dispute raises concerns over semiconductor supply stability
Since the Netherlands implemented temporary intervention measures, Nexperia has experienced disruptions in its operational rhythm, with some product delivery schedules affected. These issues have begun to ripple through downstream sectors such as automotive and industrial electronics, raising concerns over continuity of semiconductor supply.
In recent disclosures, Wingtech noted that if control is not restored by the end of 2025, its semiconductor segment may come under short-term pressure. The company stressed that reinstating shareholder rights is a prerequisite for resolving governance imbalance and ensuring stable strategic planning.
Wingtech said it has maintained an open position toward communication, pursuing solutions through repeated formal statements, concrete actions and legal channels. The latest letter reflects its intention to promote dialogue and help Nexperia return to normal operations, supporting supply chain security and broader semiconductor industry stability.
