August 11, 2025 /SemiMedia/ — Vishay Intertechnology has introduced the T15BxxA and T15BxxCA series of 1500 W surface-mount PAR® transient voltage suppressors (TVS) in the SMB (DO-214AA) package, offering both unidirectional and bidirectional versions. AEC-Q101 qualified, the devices are designed for high-reliability automotive applications and support continuous operation at up to +185°C.

Compared with TVS devices in the larger SMC (DO-214AB) package, the new Automotive Grade models offer a 58% smaller footprint, helping save PCB space and reduce system costs. The T15BxxA series features breakdown voltages from 12 V to 51 V, while the T15BxxCA series covers 12 V to 100 V, with excellent clamping performance and ultra-fast response times.

These TVS devices safeguard sensitive electronics from voltage transients caused by inductive load switching or lightning. Target applications include lighting systems, electro-mechanical brakes, fuel pump control, 48 V DC/DC converters and inverters, integrated starter generators, battery management systems, vehicle control units, on-board chargers, and telematics control units for audio, ESC, and radar sensors.

The products meet MSL level 1 per J-STD-020, are RoHS-compliant, and halogen-free. Samples and production quantities are available now, with typical lead times of 12 weeks. For more information, please visit T15BxxA and T15BxxCA.
