May 14, 2026 /SemiMedia/ — Diodes Incorporated has launched the PI6CG33A06, a six-output ultra-low jitter clock generator designed for PCI Express 7.0 platforms used in AI servers, high-performance computing systems and next-generation data center equipment.

The new device supports PCIe 7.0 while remaining backward compatible with earlier PCIe generations. It is designed to provide stable 25MHz and 100MHz reference clocks for high-speed data transmission environments where signal integrity and timing accuracy are becoming increasingly important.

According to Diodes, the PI6CG33A06 delivers RMS jitter below 30 femtoseconds, significantly lower than the PCIe 7.0 maximum requirement of 67fs. The lower jitter margin is intended to help system designers maintain stable operation across complex PCB layouts, connectors and high-speed server interconnects.

The product targets emerging AI infrastructure platforms operating at 128GT/s PCIe speeds, including systems supporting 800G and 1.6T networking. Industry engineers note that clock performance has become a critical factor for maintaining bandwidth stability and reducing transmission errors in large-scale AI clusters and cloud data centers.

Diodes also integrated its proprietary low-power HCSL technology into the device to reduce clock-related power consumption and thermal load in dense server systems. The company said the design can lower power usage by more than 50% compared with conventional HCSL solutions.

The clock generator integrates termination circuitry internally, allowing designers to eliminate up to 24 external resistors. This helps simplify PCB routing, reduce BOM cost and free additional board space for cooling, memory or accelerator components.

Each of the six outputs supports independent enable control, allowing more flexible power management across server and networking platforms. The device is also compatible with Intel CK440Q-Lite server clock architectures, enabling customers to reuse existing platform designs while upgrading to PCIe 7.0 performance levels.

The PI6CG33A06 is available in a 40-pin, 5mm x 5mm VQFN (ZLF) package, and is priced from $2.80 in 3,000-piece quantities. For more information, please visit https://www.diodes.com/part/view/PI6CG33A06.
