SanDisk to raise prices by over 10% from April 1 amid rising costs

March 10, 2025 /SemiMedia/ — SanDisk will raise prices on all channel and consumer storage products by more than 10% starting April 1, 2025, the company said in a customer notice. The adjustment applies to all flash memory products, including various storage solutions.

SanDisk cited shifting supply-demand dynamics in the storage industry, noting that market conditions are moving toward a phase where demand exceeds supply, straining the supply chain. Recent tariff changes have further increased procurement and production costs, impacting product availability. In response to rising costs, the company said it is adjusting prices to maintain sustainable operations.

SanDisk said it will continue to review pricing regularly and expects further increases in the coming quarters based on market conditions and cost fluctuations. The company aims to ensure stable supply despite ongoing changes in demand and rising operational costs.

SanDisk also urged customers to plan purchases in advance and coordinate order modifications with company representatives as early as possible to mitigate potential supply constraints. The company warned that lead times could be extended, advising customers to manage inventories accordingly.

Despite cost pressures and market fluctuations, SanDisk reaffirmed its commitment to providing a wide range of flash storage products while ensuring supply stability. Customers are encouraged to contact their SanDisk representative for further details and support.

The impact of this price increase on market demand and end-product pricing remains to be seen. As the storage industry enters a new supply cycle, further price adjustments may follow.
