SIA: Semiconductor sales up 5.3% year-on-year in November 2023

January 11, 2024 /SemiMedia/ -- According to the latest SIA report, global semiconductor industry sales in November 2023 totaled US$48 billion, an increase of 5.3% from the total of US$45.6 billion in November 2022, and an increase of 2.9% from the total of US$46.6 billion in October 2023.

From a regional perspective, sales in China (7.6%), the rest of Asia-Pacific (excluding China and Japan, 7.1%) and the Americas (3.5%) increased year-on-year; Monthly sales increased sequentially in China (4.4%), the Americas (3.9%) and Rest of Asia Pacific (excluding China and Japan, 3.5%); Month-on-month sales declined in Japan (-0.7%) and Europe (-2.0%).

"Global semiconductor sales in November 2023 were the first year-on-year increase since August 2022, indicating that the global chip market continues to strengthen as it enters the new year, and the global semiconductor market is expected to achieve double-digit growth in 2024," SIA CEO John Neuffer said.
