Apr. 19, 2023 /SemiMedia/ -- According to Counterpoint's latest report, global PC shipments in the first quarter of 2023 fell by 28% year-on-year, and annual shipments are expected to drop by more than 10%.

The report shows that in the first quarter of this year, global PC shipments were 56.7 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 28%, making it the lowest quarterly shipments in the past 10 years except for the disruption of production by the Covid-19 epidemic.

However, the report also predicts that PC inventory digestion is expected to end before the first half of 2023, and that the personal computer market will gradually recover in the second half of the second quarter of this year, and achieve strong growth in the second half of 2023.
