Supply chain: Chip demand falls faster than expected

According to the supply chain, the foundry company Vanguard International Semiconductor recently revealed that although its revenue in the second quarter hit a record high, the company's capacity utilization rate may fall to 90 to 95% in the third quarter due to the accelerated decline in display driver chip orders and the time consumption of production line switching.

Industry insiders said that due to the lower-than-expected demand in the second quarter, the overall inventory of its customers continued to rise, and it is expected that the world's advanced companies may start to make inventory adjustments in the third quarter of this year.

"The market is changing faster than we expected," the source added.
