Nexperia Malaysia Sdn Bhd (Nexperia), a subsidiary of Nexperia, recently announced that it will further expand its output in Malaysia, increasing its investment value by RM1.68 billion (approximately $400 million) by 2026.

The project includes the construction of an additional four -storey building that will provide an opportunity for Nexperia Malaysia to double its production capacity by 2026.

The expansion of this new building will also create high -skilled employment opportunities for more than 1,000 Malaysians, especially in Negeri Sembilan.

“The increase in investment value involves the construction of additional facilities, equipment and automation at the existing Nexperia plant in Taman Tuanku Ja`afar, Senawang,” said Harith Alvin Cyrill Abdullah, Vice President and General Manager of Nexperia Malaysia.

He said it was done to meet the growing demand for products in the global market despite still facing a pandemic.

"It is part of our move forward to triple our production capacity compared to the existing one, in fact this effort is also to meet the industry standard 4.0 standard in supporting the growth of energy products important for the automotive industry in Malaysia," Harith Alvin Cyrill Abdullah added.
