Recently, Analog Devices said it has appointed Larry Weiss as the company's vice president, general counsel and secretary. Weiss will oversee ADI's global legal functions, including mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property and compliance. Larry Weiss will be officially on February 11, 2019.

Weiss recently served as Vice President and General Counsel of Medtronic plc's Minimally Invasive Therapeutic Group (MITG), where he led the legal and healthcare economics and reimbursement functions of the global MITG business.

Prior to that, he served as Vice President and General Counsel of Covidien Surgical Solutions, the largest global business unit of Covidien before being acquired by Medtronic. Previously, Weiss held various global legal positions at Covidien and its predecessor, Tyco Healthcare.

“We are very pleased to welcome Larry to ADI, from organizational transformation to strategic trading to intellectual property. Larry provides consulting services to CEOs and senior leaders in various legal matters, making him an excellent complement to ADI. We look forward to His leadership, as we will continue to drive ADI to greater success," said Margaret Seif, chief PIC officer and chief legal officer of ADI.
