Vishay launches four automotive common mode chokes with DCR down to 0.4 mΩ

August 26, 2026 / SemiMedia / — Vishay Intertechnology has introduced four automotive-grade surface-mount common mode chokes: the ICM5050-A, ICM6050-A, IFLN-1210BE-A and IFLN-1812CZ-A. All four devices are AEC-Q200 qualified.

The devices offer DC resistance from 0.4 mΩ to 12 mΩ to reduce power losses in noise suppression and filtering applications. Target systems include DC/DC power supplies, displays, lighting drivers, in-vehicle Ethernet networks and battery-powered equipment.

The ICM5050-A and ICM6050-A are wirewound ferrite devices with current ratings up to 11 A and 14 A, respectively. Their dimensions are 12.0 mm × 11.0 mm × 6.0 mm and 15.0 mm × 13.0 mm × 6.0 mm, allowing them to replace larger toroidal common mode chokes.

The precision-wound IFLN-1210BE-A and IFLN-1812CZ-A are offered in compact 1210 and 1812 case sizes. The IFLN-1210BE-A provides typical common mode impedance up to 11 kΩ at 100 MHz for EMI suppression in CAN, LAN and automotive DC/DC converter circuits.

Depending on the model, the devices support operating temperatures up to +150 °C. All four are RoHS-compliant, halogen-free and compatible with reflow soldering and automated pick-and-place assembly. Samples and production quantities are available now, with lead times of 10 to 12 weeks.
