MTK finally merge Mstar

The first announcement about the acquisition between MTK and Mstar was in 2012, but it was end up with a failure because of the anti-monopoly investigation in China. Now this case finally comes into a happy ending.

As an insider points out, MTK and Mstar will announces the acquisition officially middle of next month, and Mstar will becomes the third business group of MTK, estimated the acquisition will be completed in beginning of next year.

After the acquisition, MTK will have 3 main business groups, including the Wireless communication business group which is the core business of MTK, secondly the Intelligent business group which is focus on smart products, the third one is Mstar.
