Avnet has recently been named a global distribution partner of Microsemi. Avnet will market Microsemi's range of products worldwide, including a portfolio of semiconductor and system solutions for the aerospace and defense, communications, data center and industrial markets.

Microsemi is a leading provider of semiconductor solutions with varying functionality, security, reliability and performance, and was acquired by Microchip earlier this year. “As our customers increasingly turn to our security solutions to help them bring the industry, aerospace and defense products to market faster, Microsemi is the perfect fit to our product line cards Avnet is experienced and knowledgeable in all of Microsemi's product portfolio, and we are ready to support our customers and drive the development of Microsemi's target industry. Our collaboration with Microchip highlights our focus and commitment to our suppliers. Providing the highest level of expertise and services to improve their business,” said Lynn Torrel, senior vice president of Avnet's global suppliers and customers.
