Vishay launches 15–20 GHz power divider for RF and aerospace use

April 9, 2026 /SemiMedia/ — Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. has introduced a new Wilkinson power divider and combiner, aimed at high-frequency RF systems used in aerospace, defense and wireless infrastructure.

The WLKN-000 operates from 15 GHz to 20 GHz, with insertion loss below 0.5 dB under 19 GHz. Keeping loss at this level helps reduce power drop along the signal path, which is a common concern in RF designs. Return loss is rated between 10 dB and 15 dB.

The device is offered in a compact 1817 surface-mount package and integrates a three-port structure, allowing both dividing and combining in one part. This reduces the need for extra components and helps simplify board layout, especially in space-limited designs.

At the center frequency, output isolation is better than 20 dB, which helps limit crosstalk between channels. This becomes more important in systems where multiple RF paths run in parallel or are combined before amplification. The device also maintains stable matching across the operating band.

Compared with resistor-based or narrowband solutions, it provides a wider usable frequency range and more consistent performance across the band.

The part is rated for operation from -55°C to +155°C, making it suitable for demanding environments such as ADAS, RF transceivers, LEO satellites, base stations, drones and phased-array radar systems. It is built on thin film technology, meets RoHS and halogen-free standards, and can be customized based on application needs.

Samples and production quantities are available, with lead times around 20 weeks. For more information, please visit https://www.vishay.com/en/product/60170/.
