March 9, 2026 /SemiMedia/ — Lenovo has raised prices for some personal computer models after recent increases in memory chip costs, according to people familiar with the matter.
Channel partners said the company recently sent a pricing notice to distributors and retail partners, adjusting prices for several PC products.
Signs of the increase had already appeared in online stores earlier this year. Some models saw higher listed prices, while others became more expensive after promotional discounts were reduced or removed.
The latest notice mainly affects parts of the offline retail channel, distributors said. Updated price lists show that the retail price of some PC models has increased by more than $145 compared with last year.
However, subsidy programs for students are still in place, and the purchase price for student buyers has not changed much so far.
Industry sources said the price move is linked to the recent rebound in the memory chip market, especially DRAM and NAND flash. As component costs rise, PC makers may continue to face pricing pressure in the coming quarters.
