November 13, 2025 /SemiMedia/ — WPG Holdings, one of Asia’s largest semiconductor and electronic components distributors, has approved a restructuring of its operations, consolidating four business units into two divisions under AIT Group and World Peace Industrial Group (WPI).

Under the new structure, Yosun Group and Silicon Application Corp. Group (SAC) will become wholly owned subsidiaries of AIT Group through a share conversion.

WPG said the restructuring will streamline its distribution operations while maintaining the independent operations and agency rights of Yosun and SAC. The group aims to enhance global coordination, expand partnerships with international semiconductor manufacturers, and strengthen its overall competitiveness in the global market.

After the reorganisation, AIT Group and WPI are expected to each generate annual revenues of around US$12 billion to US$13 billion, supported by thousands of employees worldwide. The company added that the move is designed to optimise resource allocation, boost efficiency, and reinforce financial stability, establishing a more agile and scalable distribution platform.

Industry analysts view WPG’s restructuring as a strategic response to the semiconductor industry’s ongoing consolidation and the increasing need for integrated, globally connected distribution networks. The dual-engine model is expected to give WPG stronger leverage in areas such as AI, automotive electronics, and power semiconductors.
