October 24, 2025 /SemiMedia/ — Nexperia’s China unit has issued a formal letter to its customers addressing recent operational developments and controversies, with a strong focus on semiconductor manufacturing compliance and supply chain stability.
In the letter, the company affirmed that its China entity is rooted locally and operates independently, while strictly adhering to Chinese laws and regulations. It stated that its production and business activities in the Chinese region are proceeding in an orderly manner, with leadership and staff fully committed to safeguarding customer supply chains.
Despite the complex external environment, Nexperia China emphasised that ensuring continuity of production for its customers is the highest current priority. The company pledged that all devices produced and delivered in China fully comply with Chinese regulatory requirements, meet Nexperia’s stringent internal technical and quality standards, and undergo rigorous pre-shipment inspections. Should any changes to supply, production process or technical standards arise, Nexperia China said it will communicate such adjustments to customers in advance under standard procedures.
The letter also addressed concerns about conflicting information being circulated by the Netherlands-based parent management. Nexperia China said the parent company’s current management is disregarding the legal rights of the China entity, attempting to interfere with normal operations and distributing factually incorrect messages to customers. These actions, the letter states, include questioning product compliance, quality standards, and technical capability. Nexperia China firmly rejects such interference and said it will use all legal means to protect its rights in China.
Finally, the China entity called on its customers to maintain trust and engage in transparent, close cooperation. The company said that only by working together can they uphold the long-term stability and resilience of the global semiconductor supply chain, and jointly face the challenges and opportunities ahead in the industry.
