September 23, 2025 /SemiMedia/ — Infineon Technologies has expanded its XENSIV™ MEMS microphone range with the launch of two new digital PDM models, the IM72D128V and IM69D129F. Both devices are designed to deliver high audio quality, low power consumption, and strong resistance to dust and water, addressing the growing demand for reliable microphones in advanced consumer and industrial applications.

The IM72D128V offers a top signal-to-noise ratio of 71.5 dB(A) with ultra-low current draw, making it suitable for high-end headsets and battery-powered devices that require precise audio capture. The IM69D129F, optimized for compact designs, combines a 69 dB(A) SNR with a footprint of just 3.5 x 2.65 x 0.98 mm³, enabling multi-microphone configurations in space-constrained products such as earbuds, tablets, and conference systems.

Infineon said the new microphones also support voice user interface applications in smart speakers, automotive infotainment, IoT devices, and industrial monitoring. Equipped with a low-noise preamplifier and a sigma-delta ADC, they provide digital PDM output for seamless integration. With a flat frequency response down to 11 Hz and ±1 dB sensitivity tolerance, the devices are designed for high reliability and comply with IEC and JEDEC standards.

The IM72D128V and IM69D129F are now available for order, and customer samples can be provided upon request. More information is available at www.infineon.com/mems.
