Lattice Semiconductor appoints Ford Tamer as CEO

September 19, 2024 /SemiMedia/ — Lattice Semiconductor Corporation has announced the appointment of Dr. Ford Tamer as Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors, effective immediately. Tamer replaces Esam Elashmawi, who served as Interim CEO since June 2024 and will continue in his role as Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer.

“Ford is a dynamic leader with a proven track record of building successful companies,” said Jeff Richardson, Chair of Lattice’s Board. “We are confident that his expertise, combined with our talented team, will drive continued success for Lattice.”

Tamer brings extensive industry experience, having previously served as President and CEO of Inphi, where he led the company to market leadership in electro-optics solutions for cloud and telecom operators. He has also held leadership roles at Broadcom and Telegent Systems. Tamer holds advanced degrees in engineering from MIT and currently serves on the boards of Teradyne Inc. and Groq, Inc.

Tamer expressed excitement about joining Lattice, emphasizing the strong foundation the company has built and his eagerness to work with the team to drive the next phase of growth. He also thanked Esam Elashmawi for his leadership during the interim period.

In conjunction with this announcement, Lattice reaffirmed its previous financial guidance from July 2024.
