December 7, 2023 /SemiMedia/ -- AMD CEO Lisa Su recently stated that the artificial intelligence AI processor market is expected to be approximately US$45 billion in 2023, which is higher than the forecast in June this year.

Lisa Su believes that building an artificial intelligence system that can rival human intelligence is considered the Holy Grail in the computer field and can now be expected. However, the application of this technology has just begun, and it will take time to evaluate the impact of AI on productivity, economy and other aspects.

Lisa Su said that AMD’s AI chip supply next year will be considerable, far exceeding the value of US$2 billion. It is expected that the demand for AI chips will grow rapidly in the future, and the market size will reach approximately US$400 billion by 2027.
