WSTS: Semiconductor industry about to rebound

In the report, WSTS raised its forecast for global semiconductor revenue this year and next year. Global semiconductor revenue is expected to be approximately US$520.126 billion this year, higher than the previous estimate of US$515.095 billion, an annual decrease of 9.4%; industry revenue in 2024 will reach 588.364 billion US dollars. billion, a new high and better than the original estimate of US$575.997 billion, an annual increase of 13.1%.

Looking at each region, WSTS expects that only the European market will grow this year, with an increase of about 5.9%, the American market will decrease by 6.1%, Japan will decline by 2%, and the Asia-Pacific region will decrease by 14.4%.

WSTS predicts that the global semiconductor market is expected to recover in 2024, including discrete semiconductors, optoelectronics, and sensor revenue, which will all grow by single-digit percentages. Memory revenue will surge by 44.8%, which is the main driving force for semiconductor revenue growth.
