Electrocomponents Plc acquires IESA.

Electrocomponents Plc announced the acquisition of IESA for £88 million.

IESA is a value-added service provider for the MRO (maintenance repair and operations) market. It focuses on three key areas: procurement, transaction processing, inventory, and store management. Its services enable customers to increase efficiency and strengthen their indirect procurement supplier base through MyMRO, a proprietary cloud-enabled market solution.

Electrocomponents' acquisition of IESA is aimed at strengthening and accelerating Electrocomponents' own value-added service offerings and providing it with additional features to serve enterprise customers who choose to outsource MRO and other indirect purchases and inventory management.

Lindsley Ruth, chief executive of Electrocomponents, said in a press release: "The IESA acquisition will improve our value-added service proposition and significantly improve our service quality to our customers. We believe that the digital capabilities of IESA and Electrocomponents will be differentiated by market and will be greatly improved. We provide customers and suppliers with more extensive e-commerce leadership solutions and we are very pleased to welcome IESA to the Electrocomponents Group.”
