According to Reuters, Volkswagen's chief executive Herbert Diess said recently that semiconductor supply has improved significantly and that Volkswagen's global production is expected to recover during the rest of the year.

Diess pointed out that the current situation has eased after the Russian-Ukrainian conflict has blocked VW's access to wiring harnesses and other components, and the company's supply chain disruption in Ukraine has also eased.
