Element14 announced a major investment in its product inventory and recently added several suppliers to expand its product offerings. This move is a concentrated response of Element14's efforts to expand the depth and breadth of its product supply chain over the past year, giving customers greater confidence that Element14 has the ability to deliver the products they need in a timely manner.

In the past 12 months, Element14 has invested nearly US$100 million to expand its inventory, increasing its inventory from US$350 million a year ago to the current US$444 million, further enhancing its ability to supply hot devices and the latest products. This also means that Element14 added 77,000 SKUs last year.

In order to realize the effect of this inventory investment, Element14 has newly established several franchise rights, including new cooperation with important suppliers such as Xilinx, Nordic Semiconductor and Arduino, thereby providing customers with more choices. The investment broadens the range of products distributed by Element14, covering semiconductors, connectors, passive components, electromechanical products, single-board computers, test equipment, and tool products, and will lead the market towards high-quality service distribution.

Chris Breslin, Senior Vice President of Element14's products, said: "This significant investment in inventory and supplier relationships means that customers will trust Element14 more than ever because we will be able to deliver the products they need more quickly. As electronic components development service provider and distributors, our goal is to meet the needs of our customers in a timely manner. We are pleased to be able to provide this service to many customers throughout the Asia-Pacific region."
