According to Bloomberg citing people familiar with the matter, onsemi is exploring a potential sale of the assets it acquired in 2019, Quantenna, a Wi-Fi chip company.

The report states that the company is working with an adviser and has been discussing the issue of selling assets to potential buyers in the past few months.

onsemi, which acquired Quantenna for about $1 billion, is said to be seeking the same valuation in a potential sale, the people said.

However, the company hasn’t made a final decision on selling the assets and could opt to keep them, the people said.
