MediaTek announced yesterday that it has terminated its Richtek acquisition of Intel’s Enpirion power management chip product line related assets.

MediaTek announced on November 16 last year that it plans to spend US$85 million to acquire Intel’s Enpirion power management chip product line. MediaTek pointed out at that time that after the completion of the merger, it will expand the company's product line and provide customers with integrated high-frequency and high-efficiency power solutions using FPGA, SoC, CPU, and ASIC, which will help expand the scale of operations and improve competitiveness.

MediaTek stated that the termination of the merger will not have a significant impact on the company, nor will it affect other current business cooperation between the two parties.
