Sales of North American semiconductor equipment makers increased 53.1% year-on-year to $3.59 billion

According the latest report published by SEMI, North America-based semiconductor equipment manufacturers posted $3.59 billion in billings worldwide in May 2021 (three-month average basis). The billings figure is 4.7% higher than final April 2021 billings of $3.43 billion and 53.1% higher than May 2020 billings of $2.34 billion.

“May billings of North America-based semiconductor equipment manufacturers continue their trajectory of remarkable growth,” said Ajit Manocha, SEMI president and CEO. “Semiconductor equipment investments continue to register record highs as the industry takes steps to address near-term manufacturing capacity constraints.”
