Vishay launches TSM41 multi-turn SMD trimmers for high-temperature industrial applications

August 15, 2025 /SemiMedia/ — Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. has introduced the TSM41 series of industrial-grade, multi-turn surface-mount cermet trimmers, designed for compact and harsh environment applications. The devices feature a 4 mm by 4 mm footprint, operate across a -55 °C to +140 °C temperature range, and are fully sealed to IP67 standards.

Compared with previous-generation components, the TSM41 series offers a 42% smaller case size, enabling board space savings and higher package density. The trimmers provide a 10 Ω to 1 MΩ resistance range with fine-tuning capability and a faster set-to-time ratio than single-turn devices. They support 0.25 W power at +85 °C and are available in both top and side adjustment configurations to accommodate diverse design requirements.

The TSM41 series can be mounted directly on PCBs, facilitating automated assembly and trimming processes, reducing production time and cost, and allowing for placement on both sides of the board. Fully sealed, the components ensure reliable operation in welding equipment, power tools, smoke detectors, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
