Vishay launches compact solid-state relays for reliable industrial control systems

May 2, 2025 /SemiMedia/ — Vishay Intertechnology has unveiled two new 1 Form A solid-state relays designed to enhance reliability and performance in industrial control and automation systems. Housed in compact SOP-4 packages, the VO1401AEFTR and VOR1003M4T provide continuous load currents of up to 550 mA and 5 A, with load voltages rated at 60 V and 30 V respectively.

These new relays are tailored for applications where traditional electromechanical relays may fail due to vibration or mechanical wear. With optical switching and an isolation voltage of 3750 VRMS, the devices offer robust, contactless operation that extends system lifespan and improves performance in harsh environments.

Designed with fast response times—1.3 ms on / 0.15 ms off for VO1401AEFTR and 0.5 ms on / 0.1 ms off for VOR1003M4T—the relays are well suited for use in industrial automation, security infrastructure, medical instrumentation, and broadcasting equipment. Their minimal leakage current (< 1 µA typical) helps ensure efficient power management and stable output control.

By integrating high-current capabilities with a compact form factor, Vishay’s new relays deliver a space-saving solution for engineers looking to optimize PCB layouts without compromising performance. Samples and production quantities are available now with a lead time of four weeks.
