Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. recently announced the introduction of a new automotive grade IHLP® thin, high current 6767 size inductor. The Vishay Dale IHLP-6767GZ-8A inductor operates continuously at +180 °C and is only 7.0 mm high, saving space in the car's engine compartment.

The device is AEC-Q200 compliant and can be used for DC/DC converters with a frequency of up to 2MHz. At the same time, the inductor has excellent noise attenuation performance in high current filtering applications in the self-resonant frequency range. The device operates at high temperatures for filtering and DC/DC conversion, including engine and transmission control units, fuel injection drives, other engine compartment applications, as well as motor noise suppression, wipers, power mirrors and seats, HID And LED lighting, heating fans, etc.

The high-efficiency IHLP-6767GZ-8A has a typical DCR from 0.89 mΩ to 52.7 mΩ with inductance values from 0.47 to 47.0 μH. The device is rated for currents up to 76.0 A and can handle high transient current spikes without saturation.

The device is packaged in a 100% lead-free (Pb) shielded composite structure that reduces noise to extremely low levels and is extremely resistant to thermal shock, moisture and mechanical vibration. IHLP-6767GZ-8A is RoHS and Vishay green and halogen free.

Currently, the new inductors are available in samples and are in volume production. The order lead time is 10 weeks.
