October 16, 2026 / SemiMedia / — TSMC expects its 2026 revenue to grow about 44% in U.S. dollar terms, supported by strong demand for AI chips and advanced manufacturing technologies. Speaking at the company’s third-quarter earnings call, Chairman and CEO C.C. Wei said, “All the AI players are working with TSMC.”
Wei said the shift from chatbots to AI assistants is broadening chip demand. Alongside AI accelerators, the adoption of agentic AI is driving additional demand for CPUs and data center networking chips.
Third-quarter revenue reached $46.72 billion, up 41.2% from a year earlier. TSMC forecasts fourth-quarter revenue of $52.3 billion to $54.3 billion.
Demand continues to exceed TSMC’s available capacity, Wei said, and the company is accelerating expansion to narrow the gap. TSMC maintained its 2026 capital spending budget of $60 billion to $64 billion to support customer growth.
