Intel: Will continue to invest in memory chips

Today, Intel has given an official response to the news that SK hynix plans to acquire Intel's Fab 68 plant in Dalian, China.

An Intel spokesperson said: "As part of our business, we regularly maintain communication with other memory chip manufacturers. Based on the current industry situation, it is natural to see such rumors, and we are not surprised. Memory and storage remain at the core of our data-centric strategy, and we will continue to invest in these businesses."

Although Intel did not explicitly state that the news was not credible, nor did it clearly indicate whether the acquisition really existed, but it can be seen from the response that Intel denied Hynix's acquisition rumors.

As of today, SK hynix has not responded to this.
