October 31, 2024 /SemiMedia/ — In response to increased market pressure and rising operating costs, Altera has announced upcoming price adjustments across several FPGA product families. These changes, effective November 24, 2024, are intended to support Altera's commitment to maintaining a reliable supply of its products and to uphold its long-term goals for customer support in delivering a robust portfolio of FPGA solutions.

According to Altera, these adjustments will apply to all new orders, quotes, and shipments made on or after the effective date. The company states that the revised pricing is necessary to continue investing in product longevity and stable supply chains across its extensive FPGA offerings.

The scope of the price adjustments includes:

  • 7% increase on Cyclone® 10 GX/LP, Cyclone® V, Cyclone® IV, MAX® 10, and MAX® V
  • 10% increase on AgilexTM 7, AgilexTM 9, Stratix® 10, Arria® 10
  • 20% increase on all Stratix® V, Stratix® IV, Stratix® III, Arria® V, Arria® II, Cyclone® III, Cyclone® II, MAX® II, and EPCQ-A

This latest adjustment aligns with Altera’s objective to secure its position in the competitive FPGA market by optimizing supply and ensuring the long-term sustainability of its product lines.
