Reuters: Stellantis French assembly plant production suspended due to semiconductor supply issues

According to Reuters, Automaker Stellantis has suspended production at its Sochaux car plant in France due to the shortage of semiconductor components, and the shutdown is expected to last until Saturday.

The report pointed out that this is not the first time that Stellantis' production has been affected by semiconductor supply problems. In June this year, the group's factories in Rennes and Sochaux were temporarily suspended due to Continental's failure to deliver touchscreen components in time.

Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares has also publicly stated recently that he does not expect a major improvement in semiconductor supply until 2023.
