TI's capacity shortage is said to ease in Q3

According to the supply chain, Texas Instruments recently disclosed to customers that its chip capacity shortage will be eased in the third quarter. The industry expects the supply of some analog chips to improve in the second half of this year, especially general-purpose analog chips.

As the world's largest analog chip maker, the easing of TI's capacity shortages indicates that the supply of the entire analog chip industry will ease, and chip prices may fall.

Industry insiders said that the attitude of chip suppliers who had continued to increase prices has changed recently, and some prices have become negotiable. In addition, other analog chip suppliers are urgently adjusting their market strategies.

Research institutions said that with the increase in inventory in the chip supply chain and signs of decline in terminal demand, the semiconductor industry may experience a dramatic inventory correction in the second half of 2022 or early 2023.

"The chip industry has passed the peak period of shortage, and the inflection point of the analog chip market may come a little earlier than expected." Supply chain sources said.
