Vanguard International Semiconductor Corporation (VIS), a leading specialty IC foundry service provider, recently announced its first-quarter financial report. In the first quarter of this year, revenue was NT$6.425 billion, 0.8% quarter-on-quarter, 2.6% year-on-year growth, gross profit margin 32.18%, operating profit rate 22.5%, post-tax net profit of 1.147 billion yuan, quarterly contract reduction. 5.7%, year-on-year decrease of 0.21%. Looking forward to the second quarter, the VIS chairman, Leuh Fang, pointed out that benefiting from the continuous increase in demand, it is estimated that the single-quarter revenue will be between RMB 6.7 billion and RMB 7.1 billion, and the quarter will increase by 4.3 to 10.5%. The performance will be better than that of TSMC as TSMC Revenue estimates for the second quarter will decline.

For the first quarter of operations, Leuh Fang said that although the first quarter was the traditional off-season and the number of days worked was significantly reduced, the client’s demand for power management chips and driver chips was better than expected. Looking forward to the second quarter, the world’s advanced forecast shows that the single-quarter revenue will be between RMB 6.7 billion and RMB 7.1 billion, a quarterly increase of 4.3 to 10.5%, a gross profit margin of approximately 31.5 to 33.5%, and an operating profit rate of 21% to 23%.
